State/UT-wise Fish Seed Production during 2008-13

India has witnessed a fluctuating trend in fish seed production during 2008-2013. In 2008-09, fish seed production was 32177.21 million fry across the country, which increased to 34921.8 million fry in 2012-13.

Highest fish seed production (15002 million fry) was in West Bengal in 2012-13 followed by 14181 million fry in 2008-09 as compared to other states. The lowest fish seed production (0 million fry) was in Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman Diu, Lakshadweep and Puducherry in both the years 2008-09 and 2012-13 as compared to other states.
