State-wise Gross Production of Natural Gas in India during 2014-15 to 2016-17

Gross Production of Onshore Natural Gas was 8796.799 MMSCM (Million Metric Standard Cubic Meter) in India during 2014-15. It has increased by 5.01% in India during 2015-16 over 2014-15. In India we have observed an annual growth of 6.72% in Gross Production of Onshore Natural Gas from 9237.476 MMSCM during 2015-16 to 9858.471 MMSCM during 2016-17. Assam state has the highest percentage share of 31.73% in Gross Production of Onshore Natural Gas during 2016-17 followed by Gujarat, Tripura, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal (CBM), Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh (CBM) and Jharkhand (CBM). Gross Production of Natural Gas was 3127.88 MMSCM in Assam during 2016-17. It has increased by 3.41% in 2016-17 over 2015-16. We have seen an annual growth of 2.25% in Gross Production of Natural Gas in Assam from 2958.247 MMSCM during 2014-15 to 3024.78 MMSCM during 2015-16.

Gujarat has the percentage share of 16.03% in Gross Production of Onshore Natural Gas during 2016-17. We have seen an annual growth of 6.05% in Gross Production of Natural Gas in Gujarat from 1490.08 MMSCM during 2015-16 to 1580.267 MMSCM during 2016-17. Annual de-growth of -2.41% has been observed in Gross Production of Natural Gas in Gujarat during 2015-16 from 1526.818 MMSCM. Tripura has the percentage share of 14.5% in Gross Production of Onshore Natural Gas during 2016-17. We have seen an annual growth of 7.35% in Gross Production of Natural Gas in Tripura from 1331.96 MMSCM during 2015-16 to 1429.908 MMSCM during 2016-17. Annual growth of 16.83% has been observed in Gross Production of Natural Gas in Tripura during 2015-16 from 1140.041 MMSCM.

Rajasthan has the percentage share of 12.96% in Gross Production of Onshore Natural Gas during 2016-17. We have seen an annual decline of -4.53% in Gross Production of Natural Gas in Rajasthan from 1338.009 MMSCM during 2015-16 to 1277.341 MMSCM during 2016-17. Annual growth of 13.61% has been observed in Gross Production of Natural Gas in Rajasthan during 2015-16 from 1177.768 MMSCM. Tamil Nadu has the percentage share of 9.97% in Gross Production of Onshore Natural Gas during 2016-17. We have seen an annual de-growth of -2.74% in Gross Production of Natural Gas in Tamil Nadu from 1010.866 MMSCM during 2015-16 to 983.168 MMSCM during 2016-17. Annual decline of -15.16% has been observed in Gross Production of Natural Gas in Tamil Nadu during 2015-16 from 1191.565 MMSCM.

During 2016-17, Percentage share of 8.8%, 5.63%, 0.28%, 0.07% and 0.03% has for Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal (CBM), Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh (CBM) and Jharkhand (CBM) respectively in Gross Production of Onshore Natural Gas. Annual growth rate of 40.11%, 42.54%, -6.82%, 358.62% and 51.13% has been observed in Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal (CBM), Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh (CBM) and Jharkhand (CBM) respectively for Gross Production of Onshore Natural Gas during 2016-17 over 2015-16.
