State-wise active Private Companies in 2014

This visualization is having the insight of State-wise active Private Companies in 2014. In India, 952433 companies were active in which 888430 (93.28%) were private companies and 64003 (6.72%) were public companies.

Top 10 India States that hold higher number of private companies were Delhi, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Kerala.

In Delhi, 177650 private companies were active i.e. 20.00% of private companies in India. In Maharashtra, 176898 private companies were active i.e. 19.91% of India. In West Bengal, 123621 private companies were active i.e. 13.91% of India. In Tamil Nadu, 60296 private companies were active i.e. 6.79% of India. In Andhra Pradesh, 55721 private companies were active i.e. 6.27% of India. In Karnataka, 47389 private companies were active i.e. 5.33% of India. In Gujarat, 46194 private companies were active i.e. 5.20% of India. In Uttar Pradesh, 39596 private companies were active i.e. 4.46% of India. In Rajasthan, 32222 private companies were active i.e. 3.63% of India. In Kerala, 22246 private companies were active i.e. 2.50% of India. Delhi has highest number of Private companies. Mizoram and Lakshadweep has the lowest private companies i.e. 16 and 10.
