State/UT-wise Percentage of Schools with Boys Toilet in India during 2015-16

India has witnessed an increasing trend in percentage of Schools with Boys Toilet during 2013-14 to 2015-16. Percentage of Schools with Boys Toilet in India was 86.56%, 88.62% and 97.02% during 2013-14 to 2015-16 respectively.

There were 21 States/UTs which had greater than 99% of Schools with Boys Toilet during 2015-16. Out of these 21 States/UTs; 9 States/UTs namely Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Delhi, Goa, Lakshadweep, Puducherry and Telangana which had 100% of Schools with Boys Toilet during 2015-16, and rest 12 namely Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Haryana, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Tripura, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Sikkim and Gujarat which placed 99.19% to 99.87% of Schools with Boys Toilet during 2015-16.

There were 10 States/UTs namely Arunachal Pradesh (95.65%), Madhya Pradesh (96.2%), Jharkhand (96.49%), Uttarakhand (97.43%), West Bengal (97.7%), Mizoram (97.96%), Kerala (98.16%), Chhattisgarh (98.5%), Manipur (98.67%) and Nagaland (98.69%) which had greater than 95% and less than 99% of Schools with Boys Toilet during 2015-16.

There were remaining 5 States namely Assam with 82.8%, Meghalaya with 86.4%, Bihar with 89.16%, Jammu and Kashmir with 92.14% and Odisha with 93.75% of Schools with Boys Toilet during 2015-16.
