State/UT-wise new job cards issued under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA from 2020-21 and 2021-22

During financial year 2020-21, 189.35 lakhs new job cards were issued under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). Total of 54.8 lakhs new job cards were issued under MGNREGA during 2021-22 (as on 03.08.2021).

The top 10 States/UTs in terms of new job cards issued in 2021-22 (as on 03.08.2021) were Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Assam.
