State/UT-wise Medical Colleges in India during 2020-21

During 2020-21, there were 562 medical colleges in India. The top 5 States/UTs with respect to medical colleges as of 2020-21 were Karnataka, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. The number of medical colleges in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Telangana was 61, 60, 57, 53 and 34 respectively during 2020-21.
