State/UT-wise Male Health Assistants at Primary Health Centers as on 31st March 2017

As on 31st March 2017, there were 12288 Male Health Assistants in position at Primary Health Centers (PHCs) in India. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of number of Male Health Assistants at PHCs as on 31st March 2017 were Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.

There were 3252 Male Health Assistants in position at PHCs in Karnataka as on 31st March 2017, which accounted 26.46% of the total Male Health Assistants in position at PHCs in India. There were 2186 Male Health Assistants in position at PHCs in Kerala as on 31st March 2017, which accounted 17.79% of the total Male Health Assistants in position at PHCs in India. There were 1620 Male Health Assistants in position at PHCs in Maharashtra as on 31st March 2017, which accounted 13.18% of the total Male Health Assistants in position at PHCs in India.

As on 31st March 2017, the number of Male Health Assistants in position at PHCs was 1036 and 954 in Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh respectively. Tamil Nadu accounted for 8.43% and Uttar Pradesh accounted for 7.76% of the total Male Health Assistants in position at PHCs in India as on 31-03-2017.

There were few States/UTs namely Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Odisha, Telangana, Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Delhi and Lakshadweep which had 0 (zero) Male Health Assistants in position at PHCs as on 31st March 2017.

The above mentioned top 5 States accounted for 73.63% of the total number of Male Health Assistants in position at P Primary Health Centers in India as a whole as on 31st March 2017.
