The Ministry of Women and Child Development is implementing a Centrally Sponsored Scheme namely, Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) under which financial assistance is provided to the State Government/ UT Administrations for setting up and maintenance of various types of Homes including Homes for children in conflict with law, either by themselves or through voluntary organisations.
We have seen a growth of 10.5% in fund released in India under ICPS from Rs. 39716.41 lakhs during 2014-15 to Rs. 43893.1 lakhs during 2015-16. We have seen a growth of 69.2% in fund released in India under ICPS from Rs. 23472.9 lakhs during 2013-14 to Rs. 39716.41 lakhs during 2014-15. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of fund released in India under ICPS during 2015-16 were: Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Manipur.
We have seen a growth of 381.66% in fund released for Chhattisgarh under ICPS during 2015-16 over 2014-15. Fund released for Chhattisgarh under ICPS was Rs. 3955.55 lakhs during 2015-16. It accounted 9.01% of the total fund released in India under ICPS during same time period. We have seen a growth of 30.03% in fund released for Odisha under ICPS during 2015-16 over 2014-15. Fund released for Odisha under ICPS was Rs. 3309.07 lakhs during 2015-16. It accounted 7.54% of the total fund released in India under ICPS during same time period. We have seen a growth of -4.03% in fund released for Rajasthan under ICPS during 2015-16 over 2014-15. Fund released for Rajasthan under ICPS was Rs. 3258.92 lakhs during 2015-16. It accounted 7.42% of the total fund released in India under ICPS during same time period.
We have seen a growth of 311.74% in fund released for Maharashtra under ICPS during 2015-16 over 2014-15. Fund released for Maharashtra under ICPS was Rs. 3138.75 lakhs during 2015-16. It accounted 7.15% of the total fund released in India under ICPS during same time period. We have seen a growth of 2126.44% in fund released for Manipur under ICPS during 2015-16 over 2014-15. Fund released for Manipur under ICPS was Rs. 3083.18 lakhs during 2015-16. It accounted 7.02% of the total fund released in India under ICPS during same time period.
The above mentioned top 5 states accounted for 38.15% of the total fund released in India under ICPS as a whole during 2015-16.
