State/UT-wise Community Health Centres required in Tribal Areas of India as on 31-03-2017

The number of Community Health Centres (CHCs) required in Tribal Areas of India was 1172 as on 31st March 2017. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of number of CHCs required in Tribal Areas of India as on 31-03-2017 were Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan and Gujarat.

There was a requirement of 178 CHCs in Tribal Areas of Madhya Pradesh as on 31st March 2017. It accounted 15.19% of the total CHCs required in Tribal Areas of India as on 31-03-2017. The number of CHCs required in Tribal Areas of Maharashtra was 112 as on 31st March 2017, which accounted 9.56% of the total CHCs required in Tribal Areas of India. There was a requirement of 112 CHCs in Tribal Areas of Odisha as on 31st March 2017. It accounted 9.56% of the total CHCs required in Tribal Areas of India as on 31-03-2017.

The number of CHCs required in Tribal Areas of Rajasthan and Gujarat was 108 and 100 respectively as on 31st March 2017. Rajasthan accounted 9.22% and Gujarat accounted 8.53% respectively of the total CHCs required in Tribal Areas of India as on 31-03-2017.

The above mentioned top 5 states accounted for 52.05% of the total CHCs required in Tribal Areas of India as a whole as on 31st March 2017.
