Schools with Playground Facility as on April 2016

The percentage of schools with playground facility in India was 60.47 as on April 2016. There were 11 States/UTs which had percentage of schools with playground facility of more than 70% viz. Punjab, Chandigarh, Maharashtra, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh and Puducherry as on April 2016.

The percentage of schools with playground facility in Punjab was 95.38 as on April 2016. The percentage of schools with playground facility in Punjab was higher by 34.91 percentage points as compared to the percentage of schools with playground facility at All India level.

The percentage of schools with playground facility in Chandigarh was 92.89 as on April 2016. The percentage of schools with playground facility in Chandigarh was higher by 32.42 percentage points as compared to the percentage of schools with playground facility at All India level. The percentage of schools with playground facility in Maharashtra was 88.07 as on April 2016. The percentage of schools with playground facility in Maharashtra was higher by 27.6 percentage points as compared to the percentage of schools with playground facility at All India level.

The percentage of schools with playground facility in Delhi was 85.79 as on April 2016. The percentage of schools with playground facility in Delhi was higher by 25.32 percentage points as compared to the percentage of schools with playground facility at All India level. The percentage of schools with playground facility in Himachal Pradesh was 84.36 as on April 2016. The percentage of schools with playground facility in Himachal Pradesh was higher by 23.89 percentage points as compared to the percentage of schools with playground facility at All India level. The percentage of schools with playground facility in Haryana was 83.38 as on April 2016. The percentage of schools with playground facility in Haryana was higher by 22.91 percentage points as compared to the percentage of schools with playground facility at All India level.

The percentage of schools with playground facility in Gujarat was 77.47 as on April 2016 (higher by 17 percentage points as compared to All India). The percentage of schools with playground facility in Tamil Nadu was 76.42 as on April 2016 (higher by 15.95 percentage points as compared to All India). The percentage of schools with playground facility in Kerala was 72.85 as on April 2016 (higher by 12.38 percentage points as compared to All India). The percentage of schools with playground facility in Uttar Pradesh was 70.36 as on April 2016 (higher by 9.89 percentage points as compared to All India). The percentage of schools with playground facility in Puducherry was 70.08 as on April 2016 (higher by 9.61 percentage points as compared to All India).
