Royalty Paid by Oil Companies on Production of Crude Oil during 2012-13 to 2017-18

Royalty paid by oil companies on production of crude oil was Rs. 1550812 lakh in the year 2012-13. It has increased by 8.74% to Rs. 1686319 lakh during 2013-14 over 2012-13. Out of total royalty paid during 2012-13; Rs. 1101306 lakh (71.01%) was paid for western region, Rs. 157874 lakh (10.18%) was paid for eastern region, Rs. 18346 lakh (1.18%) was paid for southern region, Rs. 13 lakh (0.001%) was paid for central region and Rs. 273273 lakh (17.62%) was paid for offshore. Annual decline of -32.97% has been observed in royalty paid by oil companies on production of crude oil during 2015-16 above 2014-15.

We have seen annual growth of 43.62% in royalty paid by oil companies on production of crude oil during 2016-17 above 2015-16 from Rs. 1022060 lakh. royalty paid by oil companies on production of crude oil was Rs. 1239193 lakh during 2017-18, down by -15.58% versus Rs. 1467849 lakh during 2016-17. Out of total royalty paid during 2017-18; Rs. 690052 lakh (55.69%) was paid for western region, Rs. 172102 lakh (13.89%) was paid for eastern region, Rs. 27299 lakh (2.2%) was paid for southern region, Rs. 27299 lakh (0.002%) was paid for central region and Rs. 349715 lakh (28.22%) was paid for offshore.

Maximum amount of Rs. 1686319 lakh found in 2013-14 in royalty paid by oil companies on production of crude oil during the period under consideration. Minimum amount of Rs. 1022060 lakh seen in 2015-16 in royalty paid by oil companies on production of crude oil during the period under consideration.
