Road accident deaths in Delhi by mode of transport (Top 10) during 2013

The number of road accident deaths in Delhi during 2013 was 1831, which is 1.33% of the total 137423 road accident deaths in India. Out of 1831 deaths, the number of males was 1651, while the number of females was 180. Thus, the percentage of male victims was 90.17%, while the percentage of females was 9.83%.

The number of road accident deaths in Delhi during 2013 by Two Wheeler was 430. Out of these, the number of males was 396, while the number of females was 34. Thus, the percentage of male victims was 92.09%, while the percentage of females was 7.91%. The number of road accident deaths in Delhi during 2013 of Pedestrian was 352. Out of these, the number of males was 310, while the number of females was 42 (It is the highest number of deaths among various mode of transport for female road accident deaths in Delhi in 2013). Thus, the percentage of male victims was 88.07%, while the percentage of females was 11.93%.

The number of road accident deaths in Delhi during 2013 by Car (Private) was 285. (Males 259 and females 26). The number of road accident deaths by Truck/Lorry (Private) was 201. (Males 178 and females 23). The number of road accident deaths by Tempo/Vans (Private) was 69. (Males 58 and females 11). The number of road accident deaths by Bus (Government) was 60. (Males 56 and females 4). The number of road accident deaths by Three Wheeler was 51. (Males 40 and females 11). The number of road accident deaths by Bicycle was 43. (Males 41 and females 2). The number of road accident deaths by Bus (Private) was 42. (Males 36 and females 6). The number of road accident deaths by Jeep (Private) was 20. Out of these, the number of males was 15, while the number of females was 5. Thus, the percentage of male victims was 75%, while the percentage of females was 25%. (It is the highest percentage among various mode of transport for female road accident deaths in delhi in 2013).
