Project-wise Amount Sanctioned and Amount Spent under National Mission for Clean Ganga as on 30-06-2017

Rivers provide necessary life support in the form of domestic, industrial and agricultural water requirement of the population. River development means taking appropriate care of river by ensuring that flora and fauna in the riverine system survive comfortably along with human population.

There are 155 projects have been sanctioned under National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), out of which 41 Projects have been completed as on 30-06-2017. For these 155 projects, total sanctioned amount is Rs.12423.63 crore under NMCG, out of which Rs.2618.42 crore has been spent as on 30-06-2017.

Under NMCG various projects namely Sewage Infrastructure, Old Ghats & Crematoria (Projects under NRCP/ NGRBA-in State of West Bengal), Ghats & Crematoria (New Projects under Namami Gange Programme), River Front Development, Ghats Cleaning, Institutional Development (Non-Infrastructure), Project Implementation Support/Research & Study Projects and Rural Sanitation-UNDP has been undertaken with sanctioned amount of Rs. 10289.42 crore, Rs. 204.39 crore, Rs. 1186.91 crore, Rs. 270.55 crore, Rs. 5 crore, Rs. 250.82 crore, Rs. 88.71 crore and Rs. 127.83 crore respectively.

As on 30-06-2017, Amount Spent was Rs. 2191.34 crore (21.3% of sanctioned amount), Rs. 180.16 crore (88.15% of sanctioned amount), Rs. 40.41 crore (3.4% of sanctioned amount), Rs. 128.11 crore (47.35% of sanctioned amount), Rs. 2.92 crore (58.4% of sanctioned amount), Rs. 16.87 crore (6.73% of sanctioned amount), Rs. 53.61 crore (60.43% of sanctioned amount) and Rs. 5 crore (3.91% of sanctioned amount) for Sewage Infrastructure, Old Ghats & Crematoria (Projects under NRCP/ NGRBA-in State of West Bengal), Ghats & Crematoria (New Projects under Namami Gange Programme), River Front Development, Ghats Cleaning, Institutional Development (Non-Infrastructure), Project Implementation Support/Research & Study Projects and Rural Sanitation-UNDP respectively projects.
