The Open Government Data Portal of Tamil Nadu https://data.tn.gov.in provides collated access to the resources (data-sets/apps) under the catalogs, published by different Government Departments of Government of Tamil Nadu in a structured machine readable format. The portal presently has 28589 resources / datasets in 2753 catalogs covering 63 Departments.
The Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine (DPHPM) has been contributing the daily status of COVID-19 (Corona virus Disease) in Tamil Nadu and the same has been uploaded on a daily basis, starting from 16th July 2020 onwards, in the TNOGD portal.
In addition, DPHPM has also started to contribute daily the COVID-19 Vaccination data across Health Unit districts wise in Tamil Nadu from 24th March 2021 onwards and the same is being uploaded on day-to-day basis in the portal.
The data on “Tamil Nadu at a Glance 2021” from the Department of Economics and Statistics covering various sectors, has been updated.
In this period, the District Hand Book data for the year 2017-18 on Coimbatore District from the Department of Economics and Statistics (DES), has been updated and as on today, District’s Hand Book data for 31 districts are available in the TNOGD site.
In addition, the Season and Crop Report of Tamil Nadu from DES., for the year 2017-18,consisting of peak sowing and harvesting of various seasonal crops in districts, season-wise rainfall occurred, classification of sources of irrigation etc., has been uploaded in the portal. As on today, the Season and Crop Report of Tamil Nadu for 2 years namely 2016-17 and 2017-18 are available in the TNOGD portal for public use.
