Production of woollen items during March 2004 to March 2013

Increasing trend has observed in production of worsted yarn in India during March, 2004 to march 2013. In India, production of worsted yarn increased by 40.9% from 44 thousand tonnes in March, 2004 to 62 thousand tonnes in March 2013.

During March, 2004 to March, 2013, production of woolen yarn declined by 11.8% from 34 thousand tonnes in March, 2004 to 30 thousand tonnes in March, 2013. During March, 2004 to March, 2013, production of shoddy yarn increased by 76% from 25 thousand tonnes in March, 2004 to 44 thousand tonnes in March, 2013.
