Production of Petroleum Products from 2010-11 to 2016-17

We have witnessed an increasing trend in total production of petroleum products from 2010-11 to 2016-17. A compound annual growth rate of 3.79% has been seen in total production of petroleum products during the above said period. Total production of petroleum products was 194820.539 thousand tonne during 2010-11. It has increased by 4.3% to 203201.911 thousand tonne during 2011-12 over 2010-11. Annual growth of 4.88% has been seen during 2015-16 in total production of petroleum products from 221135.532 thousand tonne. We have observed an annual growth of 5.01% in total production of petroleum products from 231923.289 thousand tonne during 2015-16 to 243550.821 thousand tonne during 2016-17. Maximum annual growth of 7.15% has been seen in 2012-13 in total production of petroleum products during the period under consideration.

There were various petroleum products namely; LPG, Motor Spirit, Naphtha, Kerosene, ATF, HSD, LDO, Furnace Oil, LSHS/HHS/RFO, Lube Oils, Bitumen, Petroleum Coke, Paraffin Wax and Others were produced during 2010-11 to 2016-17. During 2016-17, HSD products had a highest wieghtage of 42.51% (102484.105 thousand tonne) in total production of petroleum products followed by Motor Spirit, Others, Naphtha, Petroleum Coke, ATF, LPG, Furnace Oil, Kerosene, Bitumen, Lube Oils, LDO, LSHS/HHS/RFO and Paraffin Wax.

Production of Motor Spirit, Others, Naphtha, Petroleum Coke, ATF, LPG, Furnace Oil, Kerosene, Bitumen, Lube Oils, LDO, LSHS/HHS/RFO and Paraffin Wax was 36593.314 (15.23% weightage), 22504.487 (8.86% weightage), 19945.951 (7.7% weightage), 13935.638 (5.74% weightage), 13830.959 (5.08% weightage), 11325.802 (4.56% weightage), 9693.507 (4.08% weightage), 6040.867 (3.24% weightage), 5185.381 (2.22% weightage), 1028.776 (0.45% weightage), 628.964 (0.18% weightage), 268.419 (0.11% weightage), 84.651 (0.03% weightage) thousand tonne respectively during 2016-17.
