Production of Petroleum (Crude) from 2000-01 to 2015-16

We have seen a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 0.87% in Petroleum (Crude) production from 32426 thousand tonne during 2000-01 to 36951 thousand tonne during 2015-16.

Production of Petroleum (Crude) was 32426 thousand tonne during 2000-01. In value term, it was Rs. 180612820 thousand during 2000-01. Production of Petroleum (Crude) was 32032 thousand tonne during 2001-02. In value term, it was Rs. 178418240 thousand during 2001-02. It decreased by 394 thousand tonne during 2001-02 as compared to the previous year 2000-01. In percentage term, the decrease was -1.22% during 2001-02 over 2000-01.

We have seen an annual growth of 0.38% in Petroleum (Crude) production from 33988 thousand tonne during 2006-07 to 34118 thousand tonne during 2007-08. Its value was Rs. 189313160 thousand and Rs. 190031690 thousand during 2006-07 and 2007-08 respectively. Production of Petroleum (Crude) was 33506 thousand tonne during 2008-09. In value term, it was Rs. 560387850 thousand during 2008-09. It decreased by 612 thousand tonne during 2008-09 as compared to the previous year 2007-08. In percentage term, the decrease was -1.79% during 2008-09 over 2007-08.

We have seen an annual decline of -0.87% in Petroleum (Crude) production from 37788 thousand tonne during 2013-14 to 37461 thousand tonne during 2014-15. Its value was Rs. 686826110 thousand and Rs. 680882633 thousand during 2013-14 and 2014-15 respectively. Production of Petroleum (Crude) was 36951 thousand tonne during 2015-16. In value term, it was Rs. 671611511 thousand during 2015-16. It decreased by 510 thousand tonne during 2015-16 as compared to the previous year 2014-15. In percentage term, the decrease was -1.36% during 2015-16 over 2014-15.

The maximum annual growth of 3993 thousand tonne was recorded in Petroleum (Crude) production in the year 2010-11 during the period under consideration. The maximum annual growth rate, i.e., 11.85% was recorded in Petroleum (Crude) production in the year 2010-11 during the period under consideration.
