Production of Performance Plastics Products in India during 2007-14

India has witnessed a fluctuating trend in production of Performance Plastics Products during 2007-08 to 2013-14. During this period, production of ABS Resin increased by 4.5% CAGR from 78.44 Thousand Metric Tonne in 2007-08 to 102.19 Thousand Metric Tonne in 2013-14. During this period, production of Nylon-6 & Nylon 66 grew by 3.0% CAGR from 17.17 Thousand Metric Tonne in 2007-08 to 20.45 Thousand Metric Tonne in 2013-14.

During this period, production of Polymethyl Methacrylate (PMMA) decreased by 1.0 % CAGR from 2.64 Thousand Metric Tonne in 2007-08 to 2.48 Thousand Metric Tonne in 2013-14. During this period, production of Styrene Acrylonitrile (SAN) increased by 6.1% CAGR from 61.45 Thousand Metric Tonne in 2007-08 to 87.61 Thousand Metric Tonne in 2013-14.

Note: Data to be released on half yearly basis. Annual data for the previous years and for the period from April to September for the current year will be released in the first week of January and annual data up to the last financial year will be released in the first/Second week of July. Revision in the data base, if required, will be done in the first week of April and October.
