Production of alkali chemical products in India during 2007-14

India has witnessed a fluctuating trend in production of alkali chemical products during 2007-08 to 2013-14. During 2007-08 to 2013-14, production of alkali chemical products grew by 1.8% CAGR from 5443.33 Thousand Metric Tonne in 2007-08 to 6073.75 Thousand Metric Tonne in 2013-14. During this period, production of soda ash alkali chemical products grew by 3.0% CAGR from 2005.51 Thousand Metric Tonne in 2007-08 to 2392.17 Thousand Metric Tonne in 2013-14. During this period, production of caustic soda alkali chemical products grew by 1.0% CAGR from 2050.69 Thousand Metric Tonne in 2007-08 to 2175.5 Thousand Metric Tonne in 2013-14. During this period, production of liquid chlorine alkali chemical products grew by 1.4% CAGR from 1387.13 Thousand Metric Tonne in 2007-08 to 1506.08 Thousand Metric Tonne in 2013-14.

Annual data for the previous years and for the period from April to September for the current year will be released in the first week of January and annual data up to the last financial year will be released in the first/Second week of July. Revision in the data base, if required, will be done in the first week of April and October.
