Procurement of Pulses at MSP under Price Support Scheme from 2016-17 to 2019-20

The procurement of pulses at Minimum Support Prices (MSP) under Price Support Scheme (PSS) was 205,490.39 metric tonnes (MTs) in 2016-17. It has surged by 665.72% to 1,573,481.7 MTs during 2017-18 above 2016-17. We have seen annual growth of 165.36% in procurement of pulses at MSP under PSS to 4,175,316.02 MTs during 2018-19 against 2017-18. The procurement of pulses at MSP under PSS was 941,850.46 MTs in 2019-20 (as on 30.11.2019).

The value of procured pulses at MSP under PSS was Rs. 856,612.71 lakh during 2017-18, up by 724.15% versus Rs. 103,938.84 lakh during 2016-17. Annual growth of 135.18% has been observed in procured value of pulses at MSP under PSS to Rs. 2,014,559.84 lakh during 2018-19 over 2017-18. The procured value of pulses at MSP under PSS was Rs. 458,015.47 lakh in 2019-20 (as on 30.11.2019).
