Procurement of Food Grains (Rice & Wheat) from 2013-14 to 2017-18

Procurement of Rice was 318.45 LMT during 2013-14. It has increased by 61 basis points to 320.4 LMT during 2014-15 over 2013-14. We have seen annual growth of 11.36% in Procurement of Rice during 2016-17 from 342.18 LMT during 2015-16. Procurement of Rice was 381.84 LMT during 2017-18, up by 20 basis points versus 381.06 LMT during 2016-17. Maximum annual growth of 11.36% has been observed in 2016-17 in procurement of Rice during the period under consideration.

Procurement of Wheat was 250.92 LMT during 2013-14. It has increased by 11.68% to 280.23 LMT during 2014-15 over 2013-14. Annual decline of -18.25% has been seen in Procurement of Wheat during 2016-17 from 280.88 LMT during 2015-16. Procurement of Wheat was 308.24 LMT during 2017-18, up by 34.25% against 229.61 LMT during 2016-17. Maximum annual growth of 34.25% has been found in 2017-18 in procurement of Wheat during the period under consideration.
