Physical Outcomes Under NREGA during 2008-13

During 2008-13, maximum percentage of works(50.8%) have been completed under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) in 2010-11 and percentage of completed works was lowest at 19.1% in 2012-13. During this period total 35.02% works have been completed under NREGA.

In FY 2012-13 , 101.62 lakh works were undertaken; of which only 19.41 lakh works were completed. Out of total works, 20.1% works related to Rural Connectivity, 4.6% Flood Control and Protection, 20.5% Water Conservation and Water Harvesting, 8.3% Drought Proofing, 7% Micro Irrigation Works, 11.4% Provision of Irrigation facility to Land Owned by, 7.8% Renovation of Traditional Water bodies, 14.2% Land Development, 6.1% Any Other activity Approved by MRD and 0.2% works related to Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra.
