Percentage of Districts achieving Open Defecation Free target in India from 2015-16 to 2019-20

India has witnessed an increasing trend in percentage of districts achieving open defecation free (ODF) from 2015-16 to 2019-20.

The percentage of districts achieving ODF was 0.72% in India during 2015-16. It has surged by 17.73% to 18.45% during 2016-17 above 2015-16. We have observed annual growth of 36.63% in percentage of districts achieving ODF in India during 2018-19 from 51.5% during 2017-18. The percentage of districts achieving ODF in India was 100% during 2019-20, up by 11.87% against 88.13% during 2018-19.

The maximum annual growth of 36.63% has been seen in 2018-19 in percentage of districts achieving ODF in India during the period under consideration.
