Per capita total expenditure from 2007-08 to 2012-13

Per capita total expenditure (incurred by the Government) of all the states along with Delhi & Puducherry has increased from Rs. 6400.71 in 2007-08 to Rs.12436.25 in 2012-13 (Pre-Actual), showing an increase of Rs.6035.54. It has increased by 94.29% during the period. The annual growth in percentage terms is 18.86% during the period.

The 10 States/UTs with highest level of Per Capita Total Expenditure in 2012-13 are: Sikkim with Rs. 53846.89; Goa with Rs. 48667.49; Mizoram with Rs. 43192.89; Arunachal Pradesh with Rs. 41783.58; Nagaland with Rs. 38812.4; Himachal Pradesh with Rs. 26677.12; Puducherry with Rs. 25912.29; Jammu and Kashmir with Rs. 25464.24; Manipur with Rs. 23720.44 and Meghalaya with Rs. 22311.31.

Per Capita Total Expenditure of Sikkim has increased from Rs. 26621.75 in 2007-08 to Rs.53846.89 in 2012-13 (Pre-Actual), showing an increase of Rs.27225.14. It has increased by 102.27% during the period. The annual growth in percentage terms is 20.45% during the period.

The 5 States/UTs with lowest level of Per Capita Total Expenditure in 2012-13 are: Bihar with Rs. 6627.74; Uttar Pradesh with Rs. 8649.84; Jharkhand with Rs. 8805.98; West Bengal with Rs. 9660.83 and Odisha with Rs. 10301.43.
