Per Capita Fossil Fuel Consumption in India from 2015-16 to 2019-20

India has witnessed an upward trend in per capita fossil fuel consumption from 2015-16 to 2019-20.

The per capita fossil fuel consumption in India was 136.9 kg during 2015-16. It has surged by 3.36% to 141.5 kg during 2016-17 over 2015-16. We have observed annual growth of 5.08% in per capita fossil fuel consumption in India during 2018-19 from 149.7 kg during 2017-18. The per capita fossil fuel consumption in India was 157.5 kg during 2019-20, up by 13 basis points against 157.3 kg during 2018-19.

The maximum annual growth of 5.8% has been seen in 2017-18 in per capita fossil fuel consumption in India during the period under consideration.
