Nursing Staffs in Position at CHCs in Rural Areas As on 31st March 2019

There were 50,905 nursing staffs in position at Community Health Centres (CHCs) in rural areas in India as on 31st March 2019. The top 5 States/UTs with respect to nursing staffs in position at CHCs in rural areas in India as on 31/03/2019 were Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

The number of nursing staffs in position was 17,417 at CHCs in rural areas in Uttar Pradesh as on 31st March 2019, which accounted 34.21% of the total nursing staffs in position at CHCs in rural areas in India. There were 5,186 nursing staffs in position at CHCs in rural areas in Rajasthan as on 31.03.2019. It accounted 10.19% of the total nursing staffs in position at CHCs in rural areas in India as on the same period. The number of nursing staffs in position was 4,125 at CHCs in rural areas in West Bengal as on 31/03/2019, which accounted 8.1% of the total nursing staffs in position at CHCs in rural areas in India.

As on 31st March 2019, there were 2,510 and 2,202 nursing staffs in position at CHCs in rural areas in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh respectively. Gujarat accounted for 4.93% and Madhya Pradesh accounted for 4.33% of the total nursing staffs in position at CHCs in rural areas in India as on 31.03.2019.
