Decreasing trend has been seen in Neo-natal mortality rate in India. The Neo-natal mortality rate reduced from 37 in 2005 to 33 in 2010. Under the National Rural Health Mission, several initiatives have been undertaken to accelerate the pace of reduction of child mortality.
