The total number of telephones in India in April 2014 was 935812458. There was an addition of 2797320 telephones during the month with the percentage growth of 0.3% over the previous month. The total number of telephones in India in May 2014 was 938348727. There was an addition of 2536269 telephones during the month with the percentage growth of 0.27% over the previous month. The total number of telephones in India in June 2014 was 942992575. There was an addition of 4643848 telephones during the month with the percentage growth of 0.49% over the previous month.

The total number of telephones in India in July 2014 was 946448238. There was an addition of 3455663 telephones during the month with the percentage growth of 0.37% over the previous month. The total number of telephones in India in August 2014 was 951883336. There was an addition of 5435098 telephones during the month with the percentage growth of 0.57% over the previous month. The total number of telephones in India in September 2014 was 957946641. There was an addition of 6063305 telephones during the month with the percentage growth of 0.64% over the previous month.

The total number of telephones in India in October 2014 was 962667376. There was an addition of 4720735 telephones during the month with the percentage growth of 0.49% over the previous month. The total number of telephones in India in November 2014 was 964239124. There was an addition of 1571748 telephones during the month with the percentage growth of 0.16% over the previous month. The total number of telephones in India in December 2014 was 971008782. There was an addition of 6769658 telephones during the month with the percentage growth of 0.7% over the previous month.

The total number of telephones in India in January 2015 was 979119326. There was an addition of 8110544 telephones during the month with the percentage growth of 0.84% over the previous month. The total number of telephones in India in February 2015 was 987340313. There was an addition of 8220987 telephones during the month with the percentage growth of 0.84% over the previous month.

There was net addition of 51527855 with the addition of 53166622 wireless telephones and decline of -1638767 wireline telephones during the period from April 2014 to February 2015. Thus, there has been a very fast and steady growth in the number of wireless telephones; while there has been a decline in the number of wireline telephones in India during this period.
