The maximum temperature of India has shown an inconsistent pattern recording rise and decline from year to year in the time period between the years 1901 to 2014. But, if we look at this visualization, depicting the maximum temperature of India, as a whole, from 1901 to 2014, the long term trend of rise in temperature in India is very much obvious.

The maximum temperature recorded was 28.96 degree Celsius in the year 1901. The maximum temperature recorded was 28.62 degree Celsius in the year 1911. The maximum temperature recorded was 28.86 degree Celsius in the year 1921. Thus, the maximum temperature was around 28 degree Celsius plus during the decades from 1901 to 1921.

The maximum temperature recorded was 29.15 degree Celsius in the year 1931. The maximum temperature recorded was 29.46 degree Celsius in the year 1941. The maximum temperature recorded was 29.09 degree Celsius in the year 1951. Thus, the maximum temperature rose to around 29 degree Celsius plus during the decades from 1931 to 1951.

The maximum temperature recorded was 28.72 degree Celsius in the year 1961. It showed a little decline from 29.09 degree Celsius in the year 1951. The maximum temperature recorded was 29.15 degree Celsius in the year 1971. The maximum temperature recorded was 29.32 degree Celsius in the year 1981. The maximum temperature recorded was 29.32 degree Celsius in the year 1991. The maximum temperature rose to cross 30 degree Celsius for the first time in 1995.

The maximum temperature recorded was 29.99 degree Celsius in the year 2001. The maximum temperature recorded was 29.82 degree Celsius in the year 2011. The maximum temperature recorded was 29.72 degree Celsius in the year 2014. During the period from 2001 to 2014, the maximum temperature crossed 30 degree Celsius in four years viz. 2002, 2006, 2009 and 2010.

Thus, the maximum temperature of India has increased by more than 1 degree Celsius as compared to early decades of 20th Century, which is definitely a cause of concern from the point of view of climate conservation.
