Loan Disbursement to Women Entrepreneurs under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana as on 31.03.2016

Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) is a Government of India scheme designed to meet the financing needs of non-corporate small business units of the country. The idea is to provide financial support for small business which employ majority of the Indian working population.

The percentage of loan amount disbursed under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) to women entrepreneurs in India was 47.53%, out of the total amount disbursed under PMMY of Rs. 132954.73 crores in India as on 31.03.2016. The top 10 states in terms of the percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to women entrepreneurs were: Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Bihar, Maharashtra, Sikkim, Puducherry and Uttar Pradesh as on 31.03.2016.

The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to women entrepreneurs in Odisha was 59.74%, out of the total amount disbursed under PMMY of Rs. 5436.26 crores in Odisha as on 31.03.2016.

The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to women entrepreneurs in Tamil Nadu was 59.47%, out of the total amount disbursed under PMMY of Rs. 15496.86 crores in Tamil Nadu as on 31.03.2016. The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to women entrepreneurs in Madhya Pradesh was 56.27%, out of the total amount disbursed under PMMY of Rs. 7769.29 crores in Madhya Pradesh as on 31.03.2016.

The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to women entrepreneurs in West Bengal was 56.03%, out of the total amount disbursed under PMMY of Rs. 7740.41 crores in West Bengal as on 31.03.2016. The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to women entrepreneurs in Karnataka was 54.89%, out of the total amount disbursed under PMMY of Rs. 16469.43 crores in Karnataka as on 31.03.2016.

The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to women entrepreneurs in Bihar was 51.8% (total amount Rs. 7265.91 crores). The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to women entrepreneurs in Maharashtra was 51.57% (total amount Rs. 13372.42 crores). The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to women entrepreneurs in Sikkim was 49.51% (total amount Rs. 54.61 crores). The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to women entrepreneurs in Puducherry was 47.27% (total amount Rs. 331.91 crores). The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to women entrepreneurs in Uttar Pradesh was 46.78% (total amount Rs. 11880.93 crores).
