Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) is a Government of India scheme designed to meet the financing needs of non-corporate small business units of the country. The idea is to provide financial support for small business which employ majority of the Indian working population.
The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to Scheduled Tribes (ST) in India was 3.57%, out of the total amount disbursed under PMMY of Rs. 132954.73 crores in India as on 31.03.2016. There were 8 states which gave more than 10% of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to ST viz. Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Lakshadweep, Meghalaya, Manipur, Sikkim and Tripura as on 31.03.2016.
The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to ST in Mizoram was 81.02%, out of the total amount disbursed under PMMY of Rs. 77.78 crores in Mizoram as on 31.03.2016. The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to ST in Nagaland was 67.18%, out of the total amount disbursed under PMMY of Rs. 76.54 crores in Nagaland as on 31.03.2016.
The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to ST in Arunachal Pradesh was 66.62%, out of the total amount disbursed under PMMY of Rs. 71.62 crores in Arunachal Pradesh as on 31.03.2016. The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to ST in Lakshadweep was 63.36%, out of the total amount disbursed under PMMY of Rs. 5.35 crores in Lakshadweep as on 31.03.2016.
The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to ST in Meghalaya was 58.78%, out of the total amount disbursed under PMMY of Rs. 162.41 crores in Meghalaya as on 31.03.2016. The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to ST in Manipur was 27.63%, out of the total amount disbursed under PMMY of Rs. 120.03 crores in Manipur as on 31.03.2016.
The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to ST in Sikkim was 13.26%, out of the total amount disbursed under PMMY of Rs. 54.61 crores in Sikkim as on 31.03.2016. The percentage of loan amount disbursed under PMMY to ST in Tripura was 12.53%, out of the total amount disbursed under PMMY of Rs. 337.26 crores in Tripura as on 31.03.2016.
