The number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in India was 18973 till January 2016. The top 10 states in terms of the number of Legal Aid Clinics set up were: Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu till January 2016.
The number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in Uttar Pradesh was 3679 till January 2016. It accounted for 19.39% of the number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in India till January 2016.
The number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in Himachal Pradesh was 2628 till January 2016. It accounted for 13.85% of the number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in India till January 2016. The number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in Rajasthan was 1588 till January 2016. It accounted for 8.37% of the number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in India till January 2016.
The number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in Kerala was 1329 till January 2016. It accounted for 7% of the number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in India till January 2016. The number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in Madhya Pradesh was 1058 till January 2016. It accounted for 5.58% of the number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in India till January 2016.
These top 5 states accounted for 54.19% of the total number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in India as a whole till January 2016.
The number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in West Bengal was 1019 till January 2016 (5.37% of All India). The number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in Gujarat was 989 till January 2016 (5.21% of All India). The number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in Andhra Pradesh was 849 till January 2016 (4.47% of All India). The number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in Karnataka was 701 till January 2016 (3.69% of All India). The number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in Tamil Nadu was 677 till January 2016 (3.57% of All India).
The above mentioned top 10 states accounted for 76.5% of the total number of Legal Aid Clinics set up in India as a whole till January 2016.
