Kharif Crop-wise Increase / Decrease in Minimum Support Prices from 2014-15 to 2017-18

We have observed Kharif Crops named Bajra, Maize, Groundnut in Shell and Soya bean with no increase or decrease in Minimum Support Prices (MSPs) during 2014-15 over 2013-14; whereas these Kharif Crops seen with an increase in MSPs from 2015-16 to 2017-18 over its previous year.

Kharif Crops named Paddy, Jowar, Ragi, Arhar (tur), Moong, Urad, Cotton, Sunflower Seed, Sesamum and Niger seed have been seen with an increase in MSPs in all the four years from 2014-15 to 2017-18 over its previous year. Maximum per quintal increase of Rs. 80, Rs. 75, Rs. 95, Rs. 60, Rs. 175, Rs. 400, Rs. 160, Rs. 230, Rs. 275 and Rs. 225 has been observed in Paddy, Jowar, Bajra, Maize, Ragi, Urad, Cotton, Groundnut in Shell, Soya bean and Niger seed respectively in MSPs in 2017-18 over 2016-17 during the period under consideration.

Maximum per quintal increase of Rs. 425 has been seen in Arhar (tur) and Rs. 375 has been observed in Moong in MSPs in 2016-17 over 2015-16 during the period under consideration. Maximum per quintal increase of Rs. 150 has been seen in Sunflower Seed and Rs. 300 has been observed in Sesamum in MSPs during 2016-17 and 2017-18 over its previous year during the period under consideration.
