The number of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in India as on April 2016 was 13105. Out of these, the number of Government ITIs was 2293, while the number of private ITIs was 10812. Thus, the percentage of Government ITIs was 17.5%, while the percentage of private ITIs was 82.5%.

The number of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Northern Region as on April 2016 was 5129. Out of these, the number of Government ITIs was 818, while the number of private ITIs was 4311. Thus, the percentage of Government ITIs was 15.95%, while the percentage of private ITIs was 84.05%. Northern Region had the maximum number of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) amongst the various regions of India as on April 2016.

The number of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Southern Region as on April 2016 was 3522. Out of these, the number of Government ITIs was 438, while the number of private ITIs was 3084. Thus, the percentage of Government ITIs was 12.44%, while the percentage of private ITIs was 87.56%.

The number of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Eastern Region as on April 2016 was 1937. Out of these, the number of Government ITIs was 211, while the number of private ITIs was 1726. Thus, the percentage of Government ITIs was 10.89%, while the percentage of private ITIs was 89.11%.

The number of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Western Region as on April 2016 was 2517. Out of these, the number of Government ITIs was 826, while the number of private ITIs was 1691. Thus, the percentage of Government ITIs was 32.82%, while the percentage of private ITIs was 67.18%. Western Region had the maximum percentage of Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) amongst the various regions of India as on April 2016.
