Import v/s Export of Diesel by India from 2012-13 to 2018-19

The import of diesel was 528 thousand metric tonnes (TMT) by India in 2012-13. It has decreased by -85.42% to 77 TMT during 2013-14 over 2012-13. Annual growth of 35.02% has been observed in import of diesel by India during 2017-18 from 1,008 TMT during 2016-17. Import of diesel by India was 555 TMT during 2018-19, down by -59.22% versus 1,361 TMT during 2017-18.

The maximum annual growth of 469.49% has been found in 2016-17 in import of diesel by India during the period under consideration.

The export of diesel was 22,473 TMT by India in 2012-13. It has surged by 17.91% to 26,499 TMT during 2013-14 above 2012-13. We have seen annual growth of 8.31% in export of diesel by India during 2017-18 from 27,453 TMT during 2016-17. Export of diesel by India was 27,931 TMT during 2018-19, down by -6.07% against 29,735 TMT during 2017-18.

The maximum annual growth of 17.91% has been observed in 2013-14 in export of diesel by India during the period under consideration.
