Funds Disbursed under CSSM Component of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana as on 24.01.2019

Under Skill India Mission, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is implementing a flagship scheme known as Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) with an objective to provide skilling to one crore people under Short Term Training (STT), Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Special Project (SP) across the country.

PMKVY has two components known as Centrally Sponsored Centrally Managed (CSCM) being implemented by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Centrally Sponsored State Managed (CSSM) being implemented by State Skill Development Missions of the States/UTs popularly known as State- Engagement Component of PMKVY.

There was a disbursement of Rs. 7,599,307,463 in India under CSSM Component of PMKVY as on 24th Jan 2019. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of funds released under CSSM Component of PMKVY as on 24.01.2019 were Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam and Bihar.

Fund of Rs. 857,762,615 was disbursed to Maharashtra under CSSM Component of PMKVY as on 24.01.2019, which accounted 11.29% of the total fund released in India. There was a disbursement of Rs. 522,600,000 to Uttar Pradesh under CSSM Component of PMKVY as on 24th Jan 2019. It accounted 6.88% of the total fund released in India under CSSM Component of PMKVY as on 24.01.2019. Fund of Rs. 380,464,812 was disbursed to West Bengal under CSSM Component of PMKVY as on 24.01.2019, which accounted 5.01% of the total fund released in India.

There was a disbursement of Rs. 369,532,800 to Assam and Rs. 368,162,449 to Bihar under CSSM Component of PMKVY as on 24.01.2019. Assam and Bihar accounted for 4.86% and 4.84% respectively of the total fund released in India under CSSM Component of PMKVY as on 24th Jan 2019.

The above mentioned top 5 states accounted for 32.88% of the total fund released in India under CSSM Component of PMKVY as a whole as on 24.01.2019.
