Fund Released by UGC to Central Universities from 2014-15 to 2018-19

We have witnessed an inconsistency in fund released by University Grants Commission (UGC) to Central Universities from 2014-15 to 2018-19. However, compound annual growth rate of 3.98% has been observed in release of fund by UGC to Central Universities during the period under consideration.

The fund released by UGC to Central Universities was Rs. 5,653.95 crore in 2014-15. It has decreased by -58 basis points to Rs. 5,621.38 crore during 2015-16 above 2014-15. We have seen annual growth of 14.64% in release of fund by UGC to Central Universities during 2017-18 from Rs. 6,355.93 crore during 2016-17. The fund released by UGC to Central Universities was Rs. 6,608.61 crore during 2018-19, down by -9.3% against Rs. 7,286.33 crore during 2017-18.

The maximum fund released by UGC to Central Universities was Rs. 7,286.33 crore seen in 2017-18 during the period under consideration.
