Fish Production in Jharkhand from 2016-17 to 2019-20

The Department of Fisheries; Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) on Blue Revolution provides financial assistance to the State Governments/UTs to support/development of the fishermen.

Fish production in Jharkhand was 1,45,142 metric tonnes in 2016-17. It has increased by 30.91% to 1,90,000 metric tonnes during 2017-18 above 2016-17. In absolute term the increase was 44,858 metric tonnes during 2017-18 against 2016-17. We have observed annul growth rate of 9.71% in production of fish in Jharkhand to 2,08,450 metric tonnes during 2018-19 versus 2017-18. In absolute term the increase was 18,450 metric tonnes during 2018-19 against 2017-18. Production of fish in Jharkhand was 28,420 metric tonnes during 2019-20 (till May, 2019).
