Export of Synthetic Fibre Products in Major Petrochemicals from 2009-10 to 2016-17

Various products namely Acrylic Fibre, Nylon Filament Yarn, Nylon Industrial Yarn/Tyre Cord, Polyester Filament Yarn, Polyester Staple Fibre, Polypropylene Filament Yarn and Polypropylene Staple Fibre were exported from India under Synthetic Fibre group in Major Petrochemicals during 2009-10 to 2016-17.

We have seen a compound annual growth rate of 24.24% in export of Acrylic Fibre from 10579 metric tonne during 2009-10 to 48332 metric tonne during 2016-17. Its value was Rs. 12600 lakh and Rs. 60060 lakh during 2009-10 and 2016-17 respectively. A maximum annual growth of 131.8% was observed in export of Acrylic Fibre in 2010-11 during the period under consideration. We have seen a compound annual growth rate of -1.75% in export of Nylon Filament Yarn from 2102 metric tonne during 2009-10 to 1857 metric tonne during 2016-17. Its value was Rs. 4733 lakh and Rs. 6462 lakh during 2009-10 and 2016-17 respectively. A maximum annual growth of 13.30% was observed in export of Nylon Filament Yarn in 2016-17 during the period under consideration.

We have seen a compound annual growth rate of -5.61% in export of Nylon Industrial Yarn/Tyre Cord from 2208 metric tonne during 2009-10 to 1474 metric tonne during 2016-17. Its value was Rs. 2783 lakh and Rs. 1872 lakh during 2009-10 and 2016-17 respectively. A maximum annual growth of 80.07% was observed in export of Nylon Industrial Yarn/Tyre Cord in 2010-11 during the period under consideration. We have seen a compound annual growth rate of 18.55% in export of Polyester Filament Yarn from 227292 metric tonne during 2009-10 to 748037 metric tonne during 2016-17. Its value was Rs. 171651 lakh and Rs. 690836 lakh during 2009-10 and 2016-17 respectively. A maximum annual growth of 72.12% was observed in export of Polyester Filament Yarn in 2010-11 during the period under consideration.

We have seen a compound annual growth rate of 4.16% in export of Polyester Staple Fibre from 160828 metric tonne during 2009-10 to 213903 metric tonne during 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 20.56% was observed in export of Polyester Staple Fibre in 2013-14 during the period under consideration. We have seen a compound annual growth rate of 15.29% in export of Polypropylene Filament Yarn from 767 metric tonne during 2009-10 to 2077 metric tonne during 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 64.15% was observed in export of Polypropylene Filament Yarn in 2010-11 during the period under consideration. We have seen a compound annual growth rate of 52.65% in export of Polypropylene Staple Fibre from 505 metric tonne during 2009-10 to 9755 metric tonne during 2016-17. A maximum annual growth of 547.48% was observed in export of Polypropylene Staple Fibre in 2013-14 during the period under consideration.
