Consumption of Nuclear Energy in World from 2012 to 2018

We have witnessed an increasing trend in consumption of nuclear energy in world from 2012 to 2018. However compound annual growth rate of 1.5% has been observed in consumption of nuclear energy in world during the period under consideration.

Consumption of nuclear energy was 559.2 million tonnes oil equivalent in world during 2012. It has spiked by 84 basis points to 563.9 million tonnes oil equivalent during 2013 over 2012. We have seen annual growth of 100 basis points in consumption of nuclear energy in world during 2017 from 591.2 million tonnes oil equivalent during 2016. Consumption of nuclear energy was 611.3 million tonnes oil equivalent in world during 2018, up by 2.38% against 597.1 million tonnes oil equivalent during 2017.

The maximum annual growth of 2.38% has been found in 2018 in consumption of nuclear energy in world during the period under consideration.
