Cause-wise Death of Indian Nationals in Oman during 2016 to 2018

In total there were 1568 deaths of Indian Nationals in Oman during 2016 to 2018, out of which the number of deaths was 547, 495 and 526 in 2016, 2017 and 2018 respectively. The top 3 causes with respect to deaths of Indian Nationals in Oman during 2018 were Natural Causes, Traffic Accidents and Suicide. The number of deaths of Indian Nationals in Oman due to Natural Causes was 370 during 2018, which accounted 70.34% of the total deaths of Indian Nationals in Oman during the same period. Deaths of Natural Causes have been increased by 11.8% during 2018 in comparison to increase of 7.1% during 2017 over its previous year.

The number of deaths of Indian Nationals in Oman due to Traffic Accidents was 59 during 2018, up by 20.4% versus 49 deaths in 2017. Whereas it had been declined by -43% during 2017 over 2016 from 86 deaths. Traffic Accidental deaths accounted 11.22% of the total deaths of Indian Nationals in Oman due to Traffic Accidents during 2018. The number of deaths of Indian Nationals in Oman due to Suicide was 58 during 2018, which accounted 11.03% of the total deaths of Indian Nationals in Oman during the same period. Suicide Deaths have been increased by 26.1% during 2018 in comparison to increase of 2.2% during 2017 over its previous year.
