Category-wise Staff Strength of Scheduled National Airlines from 2007-08 to 2015-16

India has witnessed a compound annual growth rate of -1.7% in total staff strength of Scheduled National Airlines from 2007-08 to 2015-16. We have seen a decline of -38.2% in total staff strength in Scheduled National Airlines to 14375 during 2015-16 over previous year. We have seen a decline of -5.42% in total staff strength in Scheduled National Airlines to 23261 during 2014-15 over previous year. We have seen a decline of -9.06% in total staff strength in Scheduled National Airlines from 27044 during 2012-13 to 24594 during 2013-14.

During 2015-16, there was a total staff strength of 14375 in Scheduled National Airlines. Out of which 1757 (12.22%) were Pilots & Co-Pilots, 2652 (18.45%) were Other Flight Personnel, 1094 (7.61%) were Maintenance & Overhaul Personnel, 4577 (31.84%) were Ticketing & Sales Personnel and 4295 (29.88%) were Others. During 2014-15, there was a total staff strength of 23261 in Scheduled National Airlines. Out of which 1752 (7.53%) were Pilots & Co-Pilots, 3489 (15%) were Other Flight Personnel, 6104 (26.24%) were Maintenance & Overhaul Personnel, 4221 (18.15%) were Ticketing & Sales Personnel and 7695 (33.08%) were Others. During 2013-14, there was a total staff strength of 24594 in Scheduled National Airlines. Out of which 1777 (7.23%) were Pilots & Co-Pilots, 3490 (14.19%) were Other Flight Personnel, 6868 (27.93%) were Maintenance & Overhaul Personnel, 4907 (19.95%) were Ticketing & Sales Personnel and 7552 (30.71%) were Others.

We have seen a growth of 116.53% in total staff strength in Scheduled National Airlines from 13292 during 2010-11 to 28781 during 2011-12. We have seen a decline of -5.69% in total staff strength in Scheduled National Airlines to 15060 during 2009-10 over previous year. We have seen a decline of -3.15% in total staff strength in Scheduled National Airlines from 16487 during 2007-08 to 15968 during 2008-09.

During 2011-12, there was a total staff strength of 28781 in Scheduled National Airlines. Out of which 1846 (6.41%) were Pilots & Co-Pilots, 3925 (13.64%) were Other Flight Personnel, 7588 (26.36%) were Maintenance & Overhaul Personnel, 6024 (20.93%) were Ticketing & Sales Personnel and 9398 (32.65%) were Others. During 2010-11, there was a total staff strength of 13292 in Scheduled National Airlines. Out of which 771 (5.8%) were Pilots & Co-Pilots, 1994 (15%) were Other Flight Personnel, 3062 (23.04%) were Maintenance & Overhaul Personnel, 2305 (17.34%) were Ticketing & Sales Personnel and 5160 (38.82%) were Others. During 2008-09, there was a total staff strength of 15968 in Scheduled National Airlines. Out of which 722 (4.52%) were Pilots & Co-Pilots, 2644 (16.56%) were Other Flight Personnel, 3483 (21.81%) were Maintenance & Overhaul Personnel, 2586 (16.19%) were Ticketing & Sales Personnel and 6533 (40.91%) were Others. During 2007-08, there was a total staff strength of 16487 in Scheduled National Airlines. Out of which 675 (4.09%) were Pilots & Co-Pilots, 2708 (16.43%) were Other Flight Personnel, 3140 (19.05%) were Maintenance & Overhaul Personnel, 3030 (18.38%) were Ticketing & Sales Personnel and 6934 (42.06%) were Others.
