As on 31st March 2017, Chennai district was the only district in Tamil Nadu with 0 (zero) Community Health Centres. The top 5 districts of Tamil Nadu in terms of maximum number of Sub Divisional Hospitals as on 31-03-2017 were Tirunelveli, Sivaganga, Thanjavur, Pudukottai and Coimbatore with 16, 16, 13, 13 and 13 Sub Divisional Hospitals respectively. Out of the total 31 District Hospitals in Tamil Nadu as on 31st March 2017; all the districts had one District Hospital each, excluding Chennai district with 0 (zero) District Hospitals.
