Allocation of Foodgrains in India from 2014-15 to 2019-20

The allocation of foodgrains was 52,340.43 thousand tons in India in 2014-15. It has surged by 63 basis points to 52,340.43 thousand tons during 2015-16 over 2014-15. We have seen annual growth of 1.81% in allocation of foodgrains in India during 2017-18 from 54,302.83 thousand tons during 2016-17. The allocation of foodgrains in India was 55,296.5 thousand tons during 2018-19, up by 2 basis points against 55,286.07 thousand tons during 2017-18. During 2019-20 (upto Jan 2020), allocation of foodgrains was 45,691.72 thousand tons in India.

The maximum annual growth of 3.75% has been observed in 2016-17 in allocation of foodgrains in India during the period under consideration.
