All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) – January 2015 to September 2015

Consumer Price Index (CPI) measures changes over time in general level of prices of goods and services that households acquire for the purpose of consumption. For construction of CPI numbers, two requisite components are weighing diagrams (consumption patterns) and price data collected at regular intervals. The data refers to All India Consumer Price Index with base year 2010 =100 and combined for both rural and urban area.

All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) -Cereal and Products has increased from 123.4 in January 2015 to 124.6 in September 2015 showing an increase of 1.2 points. All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) -Vegetables has increased from 133 in January 2015 to 162.2 in September 2015 showing an increase of 29.2 points. All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) -Fuel and Lighting has increased from 124 in January 2015 to 132 in September 2015 showing an increase of 8 points. All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) -General index has increased from 119.5 in January 2015 to 125.4 in September 2015 showing an increase of 5.9 points.

All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) for rural area -General index has increased from 120.3 in January 2015 to 127 in September 2015 showing an increase of 6.7 points. All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) for urban area -General index has increased from 118.5 in January 2015 to 123.5 in September 2015 showing an increase of 5 points.
