All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) during April 2014 to January 2015

Consumer Price Indices (CPI) measure changes over time in general level of prices of goods and services that households acquire for the purpose of consumption. For construction of CPI numbers, two requisite components are weighing diagrams (consumption patterns) and price data collected at regular intervals. It refers to group wise all India Consumer Price Index for Rural & Urban area with base year 2010.

CPI – General index has decreased from 139.1 in April 2014 to 119.5 in January 2015 showing a decrease of 19.6 points. CPI – Cereal and Products has decreased from 138.1 in April 2014 to 123.4 in January 2015 showing a decrease of 14.7 points. CPI -Vegetables has decreased from 146.6 in April 2014 to 133 in January 2015 showing a decrease of 13.6 points.

CPI – Medical Care has decreased from 127.4 in April 2014 to 116.5 in January 2015 showing a decrease of 10.9 points. CPI – Clothing – bedding and footwear has decreased from 150.2 in April 2014 to 117.3 in January 2015 showing a decrease of 32.9 points. CPI for rural area – General index has decreased from 140.5 in April 2014 to 120.3 in January 2015 showing a decrease of 20.2 points. CPI for urban area – General index has decreased from 137.2 in April 2014 to 118.5 in January 2015 showing a decrease of 18.7 points.
