All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) April 2014 to February 2015

Consumer Price Index (CPI) measures changes over time in general level of prices of goods and services that households acquire for the purpose of consumption. For construction of CPI numbers, two requisite components are weighing diagrams (consumption patterns) and price data collected at regular intervals. The data refers to All India Consumer Price Index with base year 2010 =100.

All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) -General index has decreased from 139.1 in April 2014 to 119.7 in February 2015 showing a decrease of -19.4 points. All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) -Cereal and Products has decreased from 138.1 in April 2014 to 123.7 in February 2015 showing a decrease of -14.4 points. All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) -Vegetables has decreased from 146.6 in April 2014 to 129.4 in February 2015 showing a decrease of -17.2 points. All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) -Clothing – bedding and footwear has decreased from 150.2 in April 2014 to 118.1 in February 2015 showing a decrease of -32.1 points. All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) -Medical Care has decreased from 127.4 in April 2014 to 117.7 in February 2015 showing a decrease of -9.7 points.

Consumer Price Index (CPI) for rural area-General index has decreased from 140.5 in April 2014 to 120.6 in February 2015 showing a decrease of -19.9 points. Consumer Price Index (CPI) for urban area-General index has decreased from 137.2 in April 2014 to 118.7 in February 2015 showing a decrease of -18.5 points.
