Accidental deaths by Collapse of Structure during 2014

The total number of accidental deaths by collapse of structure in India was 1821 during 2014. The top 10 states/UTs in terms of accidental deaths by collapse of structure in India during 2014 were: Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab and Delhi.

The total number of accidental deaths by collapse of structure in Uttar Pradesh was 348 during 2014, which was 19.11% of the total number of accidental deaths by collapse of structure in India during the year. The total number of accidental deaths by collapse of structure in Madhya Pradesh was 184 during 2014, which was 10.1% of the total number of accidental deaths by collapse of structure in India during the year. The total number of accidental deaths by collapse of structure in Maharashtra was 180 during 2014, which was 9.88% of the total number of accidental deaths by collapse of structure in India during the year.

The total number of accidental deaths by collapse of structure in Gujarat was 156 during 2014, which was 8.57% of the total number of accidental deaths by collapse of structure in India during the year. The total number of accidental deaths by collapse of structure in Tamil Nadu was 132 during 2014, which was 7.25% of the total number of accidental deaths by collapse of structure in India during the year.  In fact, these top 5 states accounted for almost two thirds i.e. 54.91% of the total number of accidental deaths by collapse of structure in India during 2014.
